Janet M. Colson, Ph.D., R.D.

Dr. Colson is an associate professor in the Nutrition and Food Science Program. She earned her Ph.D. in Nutrition and Food Science from Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida. Earlier degrees include the B.S. in Home Economics Education from Mississippi College, Clinton, Mississippi, and the M.S. in Home Economics Education from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Prior to coming to MTSU, Dr. Colson was adjunct instructor at Florida State, instructor of Nutrition at Mississippi College, and worked as a consultant nutritionist at various state nutrition programs. Primary interests are nutrition for the geriatric population.
