Nancy Oxford
Nancy Oxford is an assistant professor in the
Textiles, Merchandising and Design area. She received her B.S.
degree in Merchandising from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville
and her M.S. degree in textile chemistry from the University of
North Carolina –Greensboro.
Ms. Oxford had considerable retail, manufacturing and consulting
experience. Ms. Oxford is President and owner of Textile Fabric
Consultants, Inc., a manufacturer of fabric swatch kits used in
teaching basic textiles worldwide. The swatch kits are used in
colleges and universities, U.S. Customs Offices, the Federal Bureau
of Investigation and various training programs at K-Mart, Nike,
Donna Karan, etc.
Ms. Oxford has worked as a buyer as well as store manager in the
retail industry. She currently provides textile training programs
for trade organizations, as well as various retailers. Ms. Oxford’s
research and creativity interests include textile flammability and
clothing for the physical challenged, as well as Computer Aided
Design and Fiber Arts. |
