Sharon Coleman, M.S.

Mrs. Coleman, Who joined the faulty at MTSU in 1983, serves as Interior Design Program coordinator and holds the rank of Assistant Professor. She also supervises internship and co-op students in Interior Design. Mrs. Coleman earned a BS degree from Mississippi State University, a MS from the University of Alabama and has completed additional graduate work at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and MTSU in art, higher education, computer-aided design, and history of European architecture and design. She is a Registered Interior Designer with the State of Tennessee and offers design consulting services. Specialty areas include architectural and interior design history, lighting, residential design, universal design, green design and computer-aided design. Mrs. Coleman has organized and led several study tours to such destinations as New York City, the British Isles, Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Holland and Belgium. Professional memberships include the Interior Design Educators Council, the American Society of Interior Designers, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. |
