Teresa Robinson, Ph.D.
|

| Dr. Robinson is a professor in the Textiles,
Merchandising and Design program at MTSU. She holds a B.S. degree in
Fashion Merchandising, and both M.S. and PhD. Degrees in Textiles,
Merchandising and Design from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville,
where she also taught prior to joining the faculty at MTSU. In addition,
she previously served as MTSU’s Assistant to the Vice President for
Academic Affairs for three years. Dr. Robinson’s research interests
include recruitment and retention of students, as well as topics related
to clothing and the elderly population. Professor Robinson has considerable experience in the apparel retail, manufacturing and import industries. Her retail experience spans from chain operations to the privately owned specialty store, working in management, and as a buyer. In addition, she is involved in private consulting with fashion related businesses. She previously owned T. Bryan and Associates, an apparel import company, and was the exclusive designer of Jane Ashley hand-knitted sweaters. Currently, Dr. Robinson owns a fine jewelry consulting business. |
